Privacy

Visual RFC is a public educational website. You do not need an account to read the guides.

Usage measurement

We use PostHog to measure page views, chapters opened, diagram controls, category selections, and links to original RFCs. Events include the RFC number, chapter number, page path, referring website, and browser/device information. We use cookieless measurement and do not create user profiles or record sessions.

Search text, form inputs, URL query strings, passwords, and email addresses are not sent by our analytics integration. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control preferences disable these analytics requests. You can also block PostHog with your browser’s content controls.

Hosting and links

Cloudflare hosts this site and processes network requests to deliver pages and protect the service. Original RFC links open the RFC Editor website, which has its own policies. Fonts load from Google Fonts.
